Burn guide
How to use
- First burn: burn for 3–4 hours, until the melted wax reaches the edge of the jar. This helps prevent tunnelling and gives you the full burn time.
- Trim the wick to 1/8″ (about 3 mm) before every burn. If a black “mushroom” forms, put the candle out, let it cool, trim and relight.
- For smoke or cooking smells, light it in the room where the smell is and let it burn while you're there.
Burn safely
- Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep it out of reach of children and pets.
- Place it on a stable, heat-resistant surface, away from drafts, curtains, anything flammable and other heat sources.
- Keep the wax pool clear of matches and wick trimmings. Don't let the flame touch the glass.
- Stop burning when ½″ (about 1 cm) of wax remains. Don't use a cracked or chipped jar or refill it. The glass gets hot.
- Put the flame out carefully (or use a snuffer) and replace the lid once it's cool. [[CONFIRM max burn time per session on the jar label, e.g. “Don't burn for more than 4 hours at a time”]]
